Since I've Been Gone...

I have not been on blogger, one single time!

Whenever I have holidays from work, it is like a holiday from the computer as well. Of course, this time I had to still go online for Dat Girl, but I only did for the least amount of time possible.

So what have I been doing then?

I started this post 2 weeks ago, when it should have been posted, but it wouldn't let me attach my pictures until now.. and now I have been reading your blogs, but ah well.. same same.

I had a night out at Ivy changerooms with some of my girls.

I don't know about you other light eyed girls, but I am constantly looking like the devil in photos! In the photo above I tried using the iPhone 5 red eye correction... i'm still not sure whether it made the picture look any better.

Wearing a white Kookai dress, which I did have teamed wth a yellow Collette necklace, but it broke within 5 minutes of me being at the bar... not sure if I blame it on the extreme heat or cheap necklace?

A and I have started our new eating plan. I know you're probably thinking that I always seem to be dieting, but this is the year of my wedding so no "normal" body is going to cut it! I need lean body please hehe.

We are eating high protein, with low GI carbs.. it is really easy and I am starting to get creative with how we do it, above is lean pork meatballs with sauce (made from carrot, zucchini, tomatoes and onion) on SLIM pasta.

We went away for NYE week with 13 friends to Lake Macquarie. It was such a great break!! This lake was in our backyard and we spent much time doing nothing, eating, drinking and playing on the slip and slide!

Oh why did it have to end?! :(

NYD sunrise with the boy... and yes I am in a Scorpion costume, you had to be there I guess.

OHH YEAH! And on NYE Dat Girl was published in Cosmo, it was very exciting and I felt like a proud mother.

Below I am a proud mother of some gummy teeth! Who doesn't love playing with gummy teeth?haha

I took Dat Girl to Glebe markets again, another successful trip... this weekend we are at Caringbah markets, if you're in the area... come down and say hi!

The week away involved shot roulette.. this is one way to ensure you get intoxicated.

And I met the cutest puppy EVER! She barely looks real... she is a moodle, a maltese cross poodle and adorable as all heck!

My mum attempted a Ginger Bread house and I got busy eating my gifts from work colleagues, and now you know the reason for the new eating plan :P

Dinner with the girls at Meet the Greek in Brighton le Sands. It is one of my fav greek restaurants now, they have a 5cheese fondue, which is basically a pot of melted cheese with some diced tomatoes and I know it goes straight to my thighs, but it is worth every single squat.

There has been heaps of movement on the wedding front, so I will try to update you all with that this week too!

Is anyone else on a healthy new new year's bender?

Life through my iPhone 5

I have been slack I admit this, between writing huge Government job applications, marketing Dat Girl, Christmas shopping, trying to socialise and clean and not put on too much weight and book things for the wedding and fulfil Dat Girl orders and do pole dancing and see my family and ARRAGGHHHHHHH yep all got a lot too much! hahaha.

It's funny, I get so tired sometimes and wish I wasn't that busy, but on the other hand I freakin' love being busy, and get bored after even one weekend at home..

The easiest way to catch up I think is through my iPhone 5, let's take a trip shall we? :P

Remember Oliver? He has gotten bigger now, but the poor little guy was really sick last week. Mum came home from work to find blood everywhere and ran him to the Vet. They thought he had Pavo (aka the puppy killing disease), luckily he didn't, but he was on a drip at the Vets for an entire week. The Vet still has no idea what it was, but if mum hadn't of rushed him there he wouldn't have survived!

How cute is he trying to reach over the fence like Bobbi?

Don't know when I wore this, but I must have liked the red lip, leopard print look.. pity about my cone head!

When my girls and I catch up, we get a whole board of pizza! Bondi pizza offers three of them like this now, it's cheaper and looks awesome so it's a winner in my books.

Headed out recently for drinks and dancing. Wore this Twiggy leather skirt from Dat Girl of course, with this backless ASOS leotard. It was a fun night out, I am not a home body all the time, that's for sure - this girl needs to boogy sometimes!

Pole dancing ended last week. I have officially been a pole dancer for a year now and I freaking loveeeee it! I would recommend it to anyone and I can really see and feel my muscles improving.

Speaking of which, does anyone else find it funny the bad rep pole dancing has?

Sure, in the past pole dancing went with stripping, but I personally think it's great that women have turned around something that was suppose to be "for men's enjoyment" and found a way to make it empowering for them, to help then become strong and fit!

A and my mum have both come to watch at my pole studio and both agree there is nothing sexual about it.. the things these ladies can achieve are amazing, they put the beefed up boys at the gym doing chin ups to shame, shame I tells ya!

Our first Christmas tree, all silver and pretty.

We went to Ivy Pool on Sunday and what a fun day it was!! Unfortunately, Ivy pool on a Sunday leads to feeling sorry for yourself on a Monday hahaha.

I'm wearing the Mayhem dress from Dat Girl.

My niece graduated from Preschool this week, how cute is this?! Cue awkies smile, when she just wants to be running around playing hehe.

What's everyone doing for the holidays?

Bare foot

A friend of mine is leaving Oz in two weeks, for TWO YEARS! Her and her man are off to South America and North America, before living in London and travelling Europe for the remainder of their 2 years abroad. Jealous!!

The gorgeous Gemma & I

I need a tan ASAP!

For their farewell, the cute couple held a barefoot bowls event.

I've never been barefoot bowls before, but it's a lot of fun, even when the boys are beating you silly and teasing is a regular thing. We finally won one point, when I grabbed a professional bowls man and told him his new name was Sarah. He cam over to the team and said "Hi, my name is Sarah and I think it's my turn". Hey, no one ever said we were above cheating?! haha.

Pretending to be my model.
Wearing Dat Girl's so savage skirt and ronnie blouse

Action shot!

Friday night we stayed in, which was a no brainer after the crazy hail storms that hit Sydney Friday afternoon.

We still had a beautiful sunset from our balcony that night though.

We watched Savages. Has anyone seen it?

I don't want to give anything away, but if you have seen it - did the end part give annoy you just a  lil bit? I really thought it was unnecessary and there were some parts in the movie where you were like "as if you'd be that stupid", but on a whole I liked it.

Oh and am I the only one who ever wishes Blake Lively's mouth would open properly when she talks? Yes she's a gorgeous girl and a good actor and all, but sometimes it frustrates the heck out of me!

Dat Girl was featured on GetFashion's Instagram today - I can't believe how much love it's getting!

Ohh and how was your Spring carnival celebrations? I LOOOVEEE going to the races, it is the one form of gambling I really enjoy and probably get a bit too serious about.

Wearing Dat Girl Trapeze dress

I didn't win the Cup, but was on a good roll of getting returns for the first 5 races of the day. I was offering my advice, tips and all. ;)

We have another Dat Girl photo shoot this weekend, a HUGE one actually. Now that A is back from Melbourne, I told him he should stick around for it to which he responded, "No, you'll be in work mode and we will have a fight, we'll go to the pub instead". Hmmph. Probably true.

Ole Ole

Friday night after work, I was running around the house screaming "OLE OLE" - It was Mexican night! I was so excited for Mexican night, I was seriously acting like a 5year old who had too much red cordial and I was told several times to shut up or find another phrase.

hmph.

Mexican night was dinner at The Big Mexican Rancho in Gymea Bay.

This was my second attempt at a dark red lip. I have to say I don't mind it at all, what do you think?

I also look so much blonder now, thanks to my hairdresser. I'm really liking it.

I only have a dark red gloss at the moment, so if I decide the look is a keeper, I'll have to get a lipstick for longevity.

Wearing a light grey Kookai dress.

Someone told me that if it was your birthday you got to wear a Sombrero. It was my best friend's (who is currently living in Colombia) birthday the day before.. good enough right?

I tried to take a panorama pic of the crew at Big Mexican Rancho it looks a bit odd, okay a lot odd.

The food at was deelicious and cheap! I think the most expensive main was around $21.

Super Nachos Large $27 - we shared this amongst 6

The other cool thing about Big Mexican Rancho is that it is completely BYO and by completely, I mean we entered with a few bottles of wine, a CASE of beer and a bottle of Tequila.

Chicken quesadilla and 2 chicken tacos - $18

As I walked around the restaurant, I noticed others with eskys full, so yes not a fine dining experience, more like a fun dining experience :)

After dinner, we headed back to a friend's place for some general messiness with his dog.

It seems the dog gets around...

Spooning.

A looked too cute here haha.

Saturday morning rolled around and I was feeling anything BUT fantastic! Lucky for me, we had the time to have a do nothing, go nowhere, stay in PJ's kind of day and that we did. It was the recovery I needed.

Sunday morning, like a person who does a lot with their weekends, other than party and sleep, I was up at a beautiful 4:30am getting ready to head to the Blacktown markets with some Dat Girl clothing.

It was a great day I thought, I learnt what to do and not do, I got some great feedback, made some sales and got the Dat Girl name out there.

My brother also scored a bird for his 30th birthday, which our dog Bobbi is so in love with, she almost broke her back trying to get on the table to play with it.

I am thinking of heading to Glebe markets next.

Sydney siders or people along the NSW coast.. what's your favourite market?

All in all, another good weekend, that went way too fast and seemed way too short.

Launch Party

On the 15th September, I hosted a launch party for Dat Girl.

I had my closest friends and family, who have supported me there to help me celebrate this time in my life.

I also had my mum to help decorate, which made a HUGE difference - the woman has a gift!hahaha

The next photo is to show you our red carpet too.

The website was projected on the TV in the lounge room and against the wall on our rooftop.

The boy comes prepared.. hahaha

Priscilla is wearing Ruth.

My man. I have to admit, I like him in a bow tie... hmmm now how to convince him to wear one for the wedding?

I gave a speech and some surprise awards out on the night and by speech I mean I thanked everyone into a blow up microphone and by awards I mean I thanked everyone again, with humorous titles for awards.

This award was to my model Alessia and it was called the "anything for a good profile pic" award.

Alessia is wearing the Good Times shorts

Family shots!!

Mum wearing Monica

I had a lot more photos from the night, but blogger wouldn't let me upload anymore, which is probably a good thing for all of you.. hahaha

If you did want to see more you can check them out on the Facebook page here.

All in all, it was a great night and I felt truly blessed to have amazing people around me to help me get to this stage and to celebrate getting to this stage.

It is still way too early to tell how successful Dat Girl will be, but I am continuing to give it my all! :)
