A friend of mine is leaving Oz in two weeks, for TWO YEARS! Her and her man are off to South America and North America, before living in London and travelling Europe for the remainder of their 2 years abroad. Jealous!!

I've never been barefoot bowls before, but it's a lot of fun, even when the boys are beating you silly and teasing is a regular thing. We finally won one point, when I grabbed a professional bowls man and told him his new name was Sarah. He cam over to the team and said "Hi, my name is Sarah and I think it's my turn". Hey, no one ever said we were above cheating?! haha.

Friday night we stayed in, which was a no brainer after the crazy hail storms that hit Sydney Friday afternoon.

 

We still had a beautiful sunset from our balcony that night though.

 

 

 

We watched Savages. Has anyone seen it?

 

I don't want to give anything away, but if you have seen it - did the end part give annoy you just a  lil bit? I really thought it was unnecessary and there were some parts in the movie where you were like "as if you'd be that stupid", but on a whole I liked it.

 

Oh and am I the only one who ever wishes Blake Lively's mouth would open properly when she talks? Yes she's a gorgeous girl and a good actor and all, but sometimes it frustrates the heck out of me!

Ohh and how was your Spring carnival celebrations? I LOOOVEEE going to the races, it is the one form of gambling I really enjoy and probably get a bit too serious about.

I didn't win the Cup, but was on a good roll of getting returns for the first 5 races of the day. I was offering my advice, tips and all. ;)

 

We have another Dat Girl photo shoot this weekend, a HUGE one actually. Now that A is back from Melbourne, I told him he should stick around for it to which he responded, "No, you'll be in work mode and we will have a fight, we'll go to the pub instead". Hmmph. Probably true. 

I Crawl Around

On Saturday, the usual group of trouble had decided we would all do a pub crawl through Newtown. It was a great excuse to start drinking during the day in the sunshine and something different.

 

Of course, everybody knows that you cannot start a pub crawl on an empty stomach and you must be smart about your choices for lining the tummy.

 

We were smart.. we went to Harry's Cafe de Wheels in Tempe.

It has mushy peas, chill con carne, a dog, some amazing white sauce/cheesy thing and tomato sauce - it's a meal!
  

 

Side note: getting my hair done this weekend, cannot wait to kill these roots lol.

 

We headed in to Newtown around 3pm, where I gave everyone maps that I had created. There were 7 pubs, all with different games attached.

The third pub, was an irish pub (Kelly's on King), so the rule was every sentence had to end in "fiddle dee dee". I walked up to the bar (i've had about 3drinks in total by this point) and looked at what was behind the bar, looked at the Smirnoff Ice in the fridge and tried to decide what I wanted... it came out like this...

 

"Hi ummmmmmmmm can I have aahhhhhh ummmm hmmm gggglas of white wine please fiddle de deee?"

 

Her response - "no, I think you have had enough for today" - it was 5:30pm.

 

I walked away from the bar to my group of friends and explained how I was no longer allowed to drink, one of my friends exclaimed, "hell i'm way more drunk then Sarah and I got served".

 

The cranky lady behind the bar realised Sarah was my name and then yelled out, "UMMM... actually no Sarah, you have to leave!"

 

What? it's one thing to refuse me service, but to make me leave too? COME ON!

 

She then even told my friends that they couldn't talk to me through the front windows. A few of my friends left with me and we told the others to meet us at the next pub after they finished their drinks.

 

There were many amazingly funny/abusive stories put out there to explain why this woman did not like me - who knows if any are true?! hahaha

 

 

 

 

A few of my friends and I went to the next bar and saw we had to show ID... uh oh we thought. Everything seems fine, until one of my friends is told she can't come in...

The bouncer said she can't come in, because "she looks too sober" - ahhh! RELIEF! A sense of humour! hardy ha ha... our smiling faces said it all lol.

 

 

One of the last places we went to was Jesters something, which was an awesome little place, with complimentary vodka popcorn, yep vodka popcorn.. awesome Sangria and cucumber tequila in skull shot glasses, which let me tell you is lethal!

 

 

We didn't make it to the last two pubs, we just decided to head home, have a piggy back race and chat... end of night elevator shot a must, of course.



Another weekend goes by...

First of all, yes the giveaway post is missing, I was having trouble with the Project X App link, but as soon as I fix it I will re post it and you'll HAVE to enter to win a free Blu Ray DVD - 3minutes of your time = FREE DVD, not bad if you ask me?

Anyways... on to the weekend... I had an extra long weekend last weekend...

I had Thursday off to look after my mum (she wasn't well..maybe i'll explain one day) and then Friday we had off to drive up to The Entrance, well that was the plan...

Unfortunately, on Thursday night after Pole Dancing my car decided she didn't want to keep driving much more and was giving me trouble the whoollleee wayyy home. I made it to the front of our apartment complex and parked illegally, because I wasn't sure she'd make it to the car park. Friday morning I dropped her off at the mechanics and by Friday afternoon I was $1200 poorer =( FML!

Just what I need before Dat Girl launches, and a wedding and stuff right? :P

Moving on... after we dropped the car off, we took A's car to go pick out our new lounge.

It looks like this one, but ours will be made in a black suede with red patterned cushions. Our lounge room is VERY VERY light, it has a huge amount of sunlight and the whitest of white walls, so I think the dark couch will work well.

Around 3:30pm, we finally headed up to The Entrance. We went to The Entrance with a couple friend of ours, we assumed "up to 4 people" may have meant the room had bedrooms, nope it didn't, this is how it looked... lol. You should have seen A's face! ;)

Friday night was spent at the local diggers club, pub feed, with a few bottles of wine and some Vodkas on the rock.

NO DEAL!!

We started Saturday off with a huuugee hot buffet breakfast, then headed to the markets, the local arcade (where A and I dominated basketball and Deal or No Deal lol) then off to the movies to see Spiderman for only $13!!! $13!!! I remember when movies use to be that cheap everywhere... I think I was 15.

Have you seen the new Spiderman yet?? I really enjoyed it, a lot more than the Toby Maguire ones I must say. This Spiderman is funny.. soo funny.. "oh no. how did you know that small knifes were my weakness?" hehe.

A bit of a side track, but I watched Ted last night too and I was in stitches throughout the movie. If you are a Family Guy fan, you have to see Ted. If you aren't a Family Guy fan, you still HAVE to see Ted!

Saturday night at the Entrance we hit up another local for some more wine and pizza, before our busy Sunday that I posted about earlier.

The vest returned - 2 weekends in a row.

I ate sooo bad the entire weekend.... chips, hot chips, pizza, popcorn. I am so surprised that I managed to not gain any weight at this week's weigh in. It's no surprise that I didn't lose any either.

Hot Chips are the one thing I really struggle to stay away from!!
