Heart Melbourne

I have always hearted Melbourne.

I get the rivalry between the two cities, but I can't deny that I love Melbourne. I have to say though I find most Melbournians that I have encountered find it hard to admit they like Sydney too. I always get a "Melbourne's better". They are just totally different cities.

Once in a Sydney nightclub, a guy from Melbourne ran up to our group just to tell us how Melbourne was better. That's nice, thanks mate.

I don't get it? but anyways...

My trip last weekend was fantastic, but freaking exhausting! I was not as much of a tourist this time or a good blogger in taking photos.. so I'll just do this post randomly...

We went out both nights and both were massive nights, from these nights I have learnt that in Melbourne "if an alleyway looks like the kind you get murdered in... it will have a good bar/club in it".

I have also learnt that Melbourne's chicken and cheese is $3 (McDonalds) - rort! and the value menu ends at midnight... how will this satisfy my drunken snacking?

So let's start the Melbourne randomness...

I now know how to fit as much as possible in at China Bar (I even got to eat Cheese this time woohoo).

My plane was significantly delayed on the way to Melbourne, but when I finally got to A's apartment this was waiting for me :) He had made me upside down lasagna and it was yummmy!

I bought these gold shoes for only $10!!!! I know they look tacky in the box, but on I think they are HOT HOT HOT.

We thought this place had awesome signs and questioned whether the loyaly program was like the coffee cards? 6th one free? :P

The two of us (A & I) drank this bottle of wine and vodka as PRE DRINKS! My liver hates me.

Baroq House with my gorgeous friend Bec.
Dress: Forever 21.

Nothing satisfies a hangover better than a delicious bowl of carbs, but this one in Crown was especially good!

That sums up my Melbourne weekend.

Next trip is a week long one wahhooooo, but for now this weekend.. I'll only have one messy night out and sleep the rest of the time, I need it!

The real life Shire

A was back in Sydney this weekend, so naturally we celebrated by consuming wayyy too many drinks!!!

On Friday night, when I picked him up from the airport he  was sooo excited that he was talking super fast and I had to remind him to breathe. He  also kept making comments like "yeyyy oceann.." or "woohooo look at this sunny day, sunshine yeaahhh". lol.

We invited a few friends over for drinks, who A squashed with his big Greek bear hugs each time and then proceeded to munch on snacks, have straight Vodka shots (why oh why do we do this to ourselves?) and play Xbox Connect.

It was a great night and we slept for a good 10hours before we had to see the state of our apartment. Apparently throwing popcorn, cheese and breaking glasses was the theme for the night?

The family (A, I and our house mates) needed a greasy brunch of burgers and chips, before we were ready to face the world and then we didn't even face it. We felt sorry for ourselves in the lounge room all day, before we prepared for a night out in The Shire.

I had recently given one of my girls my old brown clip in extensions, because I no longer have brown hair and had only worn them a couple of times. She was wearing them on Saturday night, so I decided I would wear my blonde ones.. I haven't worn them in a good 9months!!

curls get the girls

I really enjoyed curling them and the feeling of long, thick, luscious hair.. I think these will be making a comeback!

When the entire house was glammed up, we headed over the bridge (yes, the one that's always on the show) for our night out....

you get an idea of the top from this picture..

I wish I took an outfit shot.. I was wearing my Witchery black rope top, red Kmart skinnies, Wittner black pumps and my white blazer.

We started at a friends house (where I consumed my second bottle of Moscato for the weekend) before we headed to Carmens, which was apparently having a reopening...

If you could see "The Shire" in a nightclub, that was it!

Lots of blondes, lots of skimpy outfits, aussie men and summer tans.

my makeup got drunk too

The club was way too packed and the security was way too strict, constantly telling people to move out of certain places... but luckily we were with great friends and had an awesome night, despite feeling a lil out of place.

My friend above was told by a girl that she looked like Niki Minaj. We aren't sure if this was just because she was the only brown person in the club, but it gave us a good laugh.

One of our other friend's girlfriends is tiny and cannot drink very much, so the night was cut short when she needed to go home.

As soon as we walked out of the club, I stood on a part of the footpath, which joined the nature strip and BAM! DOWN I WENT in my huuuggee heels! By this time, there were only a few of us left and the boys and my bestie quickly ran to my aid... helping me up and taking off my heels.

I had hurt my ankle BAD, but I didn't even cry.. I'm proud of myself.

One of the boys gave me both of his shoes instantly and proceeded to piggy back me back to my friend's place.

This guy has broken ribs people!!! What a sweetheart.

I felt bad and tried to walk, so he gave me his shoes, but then he had none and I felt bad again... so in our drunken wisdom, we decided that I would wear one of each of the boys shoes, so they still had one on each. Makes sense right?

GREAT LOOK.

We then had a piggyback race down the street, I shared some hot chips with my friend's puppy, felt nauseous in a cab, followed by a mad dash from the cab to our apartment , scared the crap out of my guy friend by pulling out my extensions and fake lashes (he then tugged on my girls hair to see if it was real) and passed out on the couch with A.

This.. my friends, is the real life Shire and a hell of a lot more entertaining then the scripted stuff channel 10 is showing right now, don't you think? :P

side note: I had yesterday off work nursing my ankle, but today most of the swelling is gone and I'm walking a lot better.

Vegas

Like I mentioned earlier, I had a 30th on Saturday and the theme was Vegas. I went as a Playboy Bunny (as in the club owned by Mr Hefner at the Palms).

A was Caesar for Caesar's Palace.
( in character here lol)

Girlies- I tried for over-the-top makeup,
but maybe a little too much, makes me cringe!

The stunning birthday girl.

HAPPY 30TH DI!

Sandy's LBD Hens Party

Well.. as some of you may know I am Maid Of Honour for my girl Sandy and her hen's party was last weekend. She is a very very chilled out Bride and made everything super easy for me… I just gave her a list of various options and she chose the most appealing, but after that I begged her to let me surprise her and she did… she even stated "I will wear whatever you want me to"- Luckily I am nice huh? ;)

Pretty Lady- hair by me
makeup by Napoleon

Her day time veil@
Broadway Shopping Centre :P

I did however give her a day AND night time veil, some funny games and of course a few peepees here and there :P

Gifts for the Bride to be

Goody Bags for the hens-
inside was a garter, a ring and a Freddo!

Yummy! Chocolate pee pees and all ;)

We started off at the hotel for the games and I hid her in another room, whilst my mum(who was also invited) and I decorated the room and filled it with goodies..We were then ready to start the fun….

Toilet paper wedding dresses are a must :P

The party then proceeded to Vivaz for Life Drawing, Cocktail Making Classes, Salsa lessons and a Brazilian buffet. Unfortunately, the bride to be only made it to the first two before her stomach decided she had tooooo much alcohol and she needed to rest ;)

These were inside the bags-
I made them to go with Sandy's theme

We all drew the same thing bahahahaa

Fortunately, she made a hell of a time out of the time she was awake and HEYYYYY "it's my hens party and I'll leave if I want too" hehehe… she made a wonderful exit and a memory she will never forget- we will never let her ;)

The theme was LBD and of course the Bride wore Green :)

Having the time of her life!!!

We turned around and there she was.. lying on the bar

Shake Shake.....

GREAT GREAT night... even if it was an early one ;)

Angie's pre-trial Hens

My friend Agnieszka- Angie is a mutual friend of mine and A's. He actually knew her before me, but because we all worked together and liked to frequent any place selling alcohol after work, we soon all became good friends. Well Angie got engaged last year to her British Boy, while I was living overseas in Canada… I was devastated I couldn't celebrate then with her, but I was looking forward to the wedding.

WELL GUESS WHAT??? Her wedding is on the same day as my other friend's wedding, Sandy (who I am MOH for). What are the freaking chances of that huh? It is not like I have a million friends, or even that I could skip in between the two. So obviously I was sad about this, but told her I would make her hens a night to remember by getting messy with her… BUT GUESS WHAT???hahah Her cousins planned her hen's night the same night I planned Sandy's hens night!! Anything would think the world is trying to keep us apart…… :(

So what did I do? I gathered Angie and Beti (another sexy lass who worked with us) and a couple of Angie's cousins and we hit the city for a pre-trial Hen's night. Of course I still made her wear some ridiculous accessories and plied her with tequila shots. The end result can be seen in these photos, which I personally find quite entertaining…… hehehe.
