Ohhh Melbourne

It was our 2year anniversary 2 weekends ago and so A and I went on a weekend trip to Melbourne. We both like Melbourne and really it was just an excuse to hang out alone for a weekend, away from any commitments. We stayed at the Grand Mecure on Swanston St, it was great -a huge room  right in the middle of the city and next to Haigh Chocolates ;)

I had secretly arranged for this to greet A as we walked in… of course he didn't notice it until I stared directly at it lol.

Our first relaxing Lunch in Bourke Street Mall…sooo yummy!!

Ohhh and then after a nap we went to dinner and I got converted – I am now officially a dumpling LOVER!!!hahahaha… we ate sooo many of these, I'm talking like 20 each lol. Then more on our final day…

Dress from my mum (no idea on brand), Shoes from Aldo.

After dinner on Saturday night we headed out to Rooftop bar, which was very funky and we liked it for a place to chill and have a few drinks..

Sunday was our ACTUAL anniversary, so naturally we started it with breakfast in bed and presents!!!

This is the bracelet A bought me.. one of a few presents, I love it and he knew I wanted one just like it. He had it engraved "2years, always". Soo sweet!!

After presents it was time for SHOPPPING!!! The reason every Sydney-sider goes to Melbourne and so we hit Chapel Street.. I was surprisingly refrained…

Quite refined, I thought.

Our anniversary dinner could have been nowhere else but Lygon Street..

we dressed up for the occasion.. I don't believe in this I'm comfortable I don't wear make-up and heels anymore! Helllll noooo….

The food was delicious at Alpinos on Lygon Street. A and I aren't use to people offering you free bread and wine, so we kindly accepted the offer haha.

We were sad when we had to head home to real life on the Monday, but chocolate makes it that much easier ;)

Great weekend and much needed rest/ alone time xxx
