As the title suggests, I had my wedding makeup trial on Saturday and for someone who keeps getting told she is very organised, I was not very well prepared at all.
I hadn't gone to the trial with any inspirational photos (it didn't cross my mind funnily enough) and I hadn't had my eyebrows done for probably over a month (my friend who does my eyebrows recently had spinal surgery).
Luckily, Susie Ayoub is a true professional, with a tonne of experience and she could make me look amazing regardless...
When she asked what looks I liked, the only one I could thing of was this one from her Facebook. She said browns were used in that look, which surprised me because it looks so smokey and I always thought I wanted a grey smokey look, but I decided to give it a go.
I really wish I could have gotten some in natural light as well. Ah well.
Here is me prior, no makeup and no smile :P
The trial was in Susie's studio in Enfield, which is amazzinngg and beautiful, with plush red carpet and globes all around the mirrors in the room.
Susie, like a few others I am lucky to work with for my wedding, is an absolute doll. She is gorgeous, bubbly and oozing with positivity... she will be a good person to have around when I have my last minute wedding stress, the morning off. LOL.
So the look....
I like this photo because I can kind of see how it would look against white.
I love how my skin looks so clear and flawless in this pictures, because it was anything but!! I had hormone skin this day, with pimples and redness!
I have 3 sets of lashes on - insane!
huge fan of this pink lip
Susie concentrated on the eyes for the trial and I must say I love her work. She really opened up my eyes and made them look elongated.. when I first looked in the mirror I couldn't believe how amazing they looked.
She also stayed away from doing too much with my eyebrows because of their disgusting state (my words not hers lol) I think when my eyebrows are looking a lot better, I would like a bit more highlighting along the brow bone.
stunned mullet
I told Susie I wanted to look like I was wearing makeup, that I liked a smokey, glamorous look and I wanted to look a bit WOW :)
sorry I am bombarding you with selfies, but I couldn't stop looking at it and trying to get a photo that really did the makeup justice! I was stressing about it for a while at the party, because I wanted to remember how it looked lol.
I love this baby pink lipstick on me and I will have to buy one for the wedding day to keep it up.
seeing it with my hair pulled back
My mum thinks the makeup looks too dark in the below pic for bridal, but I think that might have something to do with the lighting in our elevator - it doesn't look too dark in other photos.
So what do you think of the look Susie created for me?
2:30am, after a smoke machine and drunken antics - eyes look exactly the same
I really do value your opinion, because I tend to be an over thinker and drive myself crazy ALL THE TIME! It's actually why I started this blog... to give A a break from that.
