Since I've Been Gone...

I have not been on blogger, one single time!

Whenever I have holidays from work, it is like a holiday from the computer as well. Of course, this time I had to still go online for Dat Girl, but I only did for the least amount of time possible.

So what have I been doing then?

I started this post 2 weeks ago, when it should have been posted, but it wouldn't let me attach my pictures until now.. and now I have been reading your blogs, but ah well.. same same.

I had a night out at Ivy changerooms with some of my girls.

I don't know about you other light eyed girls, but I am constantly looking like the devil in photos! In the photo above I tried using the iPhone 5 red eye correction... i'm still not sure whether it made the picture look any better.

Wearing a white Kookai dress, which I did have teamed wth a yellow Collette necklace, but it broke within 5 minutes of me being at the bar... not sure if I blame it on the extreme heat or cheap necklace?

A and I have started our new eating plan. I know you're probably thinking that I always seem to be dieting, but this is the year of my wedding so no "normal" body is going to cut it! I need lean body please hehe.

We are eating high protein, with low GI carbs.. it is really easy and I am starting to get creative with how we do it, above is lean pork meatballs with sauce (made from carrot, zucchini, tomatoes and onion) on SLIM pasta.

We went away for NYE week with 13 friends to Lake Macquarie. It was such a great break!! This lake was in our backyard and we spent much time doing nothing, eating, drinking and playing on the slip and slide!

Oh why did it have to end?! :(

NYD sunrise with the boy... and yes I am in a Scorpion costume, you had to be there I guess.

OHH YEAH! And on NYE Dat Girl was published in Cosmo, it was very exciting and I felt like a proud mother.

Below I am a proud mother of some gummy teeth! Who doesn't love playing with gummy teeth?haha

I took Dat Girl to Glebe markets again, another successful trip... this weekend we are at Caringbah markets, if you're in the area... come down and say hi!

The week away involved shot roulette.. this is one way to ensure you get intoxicated.

And I met the cutest puppy EVER! She barely looks real... she is a moodle, a maltese cross poodle and adorable as all heck!

My mum attempted a Ginger Bread house and I got busy eating my gifts from work colleagues, and now you know the reason for the new eating plan :P

Dinner with the girls at Meet the Greek in Brighton le Sands. It is one of my fav greek restaurants now, they have a 5cheese fondue, which is basically a pot of melted cheese with some diced tomatoes and I know it goes straight to my thighs, but it is worth every single squat.

There has been heaps of movement on the wedding front, so I will try to update you all with that this week too!

Is anyone else on a healthy new new year's bender?

Life through my iPhone 5

I have been slack I admit this, between writing huge Government job applications, marketing Dat Girl, Christmas shopping, trying to socialise and clean and not put on too much weight and book things for the wedding and fulfil Dat Girl orders and do pole dancing and see my family and ARRAGGHHHHHHH yep all got a lot too much! hahaha.

It's funny, I get so tired sometimes and wish I wasn't that busy, but on the other hand I freakin' love being busy, and get bored after even one weekend at home..

The easiest way to catch up I think is through my iPhone 5, let's take a trip shall we? :P

Remember Oliver? He has gotten bigger now, but the poor little guy was really sick last week. Mum came home from work to find blood everywhere and ran him to the Vet. They thought he had Pavo (aka the puppy killing disease), luckily he didn't, but he was on a drip at the Vets for an entire week. The Vet still has no idea what it was, but if mum hadn't of rushed him there he wouldn't have survived!

How cute is he trying to reach over the fence like Bobbi?

Don't know when I wore this, but I must have liked the red lip, leopard print look.. pity about my cone head!

When my girls and I catch up, we get a whole board of pizza! Bondi pizza offers three of them like this now, it's cheaper and looks awesome so it's a winner in my books.

Headed out recently for drinks and dancing. Wore this Twiggy leather skirt from Dat Girl of course, with this backless ASOS leotard. It was a fun night out, I am not a home body all the time, that's for sure - this girl needs to boogy sometimes!

Pole dancing ended last week. I have officially been a pole dancer for a year now and I freaking loveeeee it! I would recommend it to anyone and I can really see and feel my muscles improving.

Speaking of which, does anyone else find it funny the bad rep pole dancing has?

Sure, in the past pole dancing went with stripping, but I personally think it's great that women have turned around something that was suppose to be "for men's enjoyment" and found a way to make it empowering for them, to help then become strong and fit!

A and my mum have both come to watch at my pole studio and both agree there is nothing sexual about it.. the things these ladies can achieve are amazing, they put the beefed up boys at the gym doing chin ups to shame, shame I tells ya!

Our first Christmas tree, all silver and pretty.

We went to Ivy Pool on Sunday and what a fun day it was!! Unfortunately, Ivy pool on a Sunday leads to feeling sorry for yourself on a Monday hahaha.

I'm wearing the Mayhem dress from Dat Girl.

My niece graduated from Preschool this week, how cute is this?! Cue awkies smile, when she just wants to be running around playing hehe.

What's everyone doing for the holidays?

Flashback Friday: Jamila's Wedding

This Flashback doesn't go waaaaaaay back haha it actually only goes back to March this year.

I always meant to do a post on this beautiful wedding, but I never got around to it, so here it is...

My gorgeous friend Jamila (aka the stunning bride) got married in the Ivy Ballroom. The Ballroom is such a pretty venue and they really have taken care of all the little touches.

Both the reception and ceremony was in this room, as they had already had a South African wedding a few months prior and didn't want to do a huge thing all over again.

I wore this Bluejuice backless lace dress, I posted about wearing it here, but I actually bought it for this wedding and this was the first time I wore it. I teamed it with some red heels I bought in the Philippines with crystals in the heel.

I loved her centrepieces, probably because I want something tall, slim and flowery. When you looked over the whole room it just looked sensational and really created drama.

I remember that the day before this wedding, we had just moved into our new apartment and in together. With the wedding and a bunch of other things on, there was no time for unpacking on this day and when we got home slightly intoxicated, we were faced with our newly delivered mattress (and not much else) on the floor. We started ripping off the plastic and then gave up.

We slept the night on the plastic with some sort of blanket over us and our new pillows, surrounded by boxes.

I love how the skirt of her dress poofs up around her when she sits. When I tried on my dress, the designer told me to sit down in it and I was so so thrilled when I realised it did something very similar,

These two girls and the bride, we all know each other because our exes were all friends and all in the same group. Obviously, that was years and years ago now... we have all broken up with our then boyfriends, but we are still friends :)

And are little bit silly....

Okay a lot silly...

It was such a great night, as I flashback I can't help but smile at how beautiful everything was and how much fun we all had.

Zombie

Last Saturday night I had a 30th zombie party. I have to admit this was the most fun I have had with makeup in a lonnnnggg time!!! We ended up finding awesome zombie makeup kits (wounds and all) from our local bargain store (thanks for all the suggestions). Unfortunately we had to look for our costumes in the same place.

I say unfortunately, because earlier in the week A and I purchased our costumes on eBay. A's seller said they expressed posted it from Brisbane on tuesday and I paid for my prom queen zombie costume on Monday - it was also suppose to be express post and from Sydney! I contacted my seller on the Wednesday to confirm the status of my order and was told it would be express posted or couriered the next day. 3pm Friday - still nothing. I found the number for the costume store and called them to be told that get back to me. 4pm - still nothing! I called the store again only to be told "oh yeah I worked out we have sold out of that costume and we have issued you a refund". Ummm gee thanks!!!!! Negative feedback coming your way buddy!

A's didn't arrive and he didn't get a refund either. Not cool.

Hung over (from a drunken Friday at Ivy) on Saturday we looked through many bargain and second hand stores to come up with Marilyn Monroe zombie and school girl zombie lol.

I swear we were picking up anything in the store and adding Zombie to the end of it for potential costumes. Pirate Zombie? Worker Zombie? Ninja Zombie? Cyclist Zombie? Knife Zombie? Spatula Zombie?? Poncho Zombie?

I think our makeup turned out pretty darn scary!!
(Marilyn mole and all)

Where's the president??? I WANT TO EAT HIM!!!

The birthday girl was a gorgeous cheerleader zombie.

Even her pup was in on the action.
"Zombie killer"

It was a really fun night!!

As always the birthday girl spoiled her guests with a BBQ, catered food, a bartender, a best dressed award and even zombie themed Lolly bags!!

I danced up a storm from what I can remember lol. A and I certainly had a lot of brain hemerage shots. I'm surprised we felt okay the next morning.

Hungry??

I'm the tanned Zombie lol

I think this was an awesome theme, everyone looked great, there were sooo many ways to interpret it and I got to play around with makeup. :)

Red Riding Hood Zombie

I actually look DEAD here lol.

What's been one of your favorite themes??
