Down Down I'm Going Down!!

I have been meaning to update you on my weight loss for a while now, but I have had other things to blog about, work's been busy bla bla.

Anyways, so last week was the 8 week or 2 month mark, when I wanted to be down to 65kgs.

Unfortunately, I didn't make it there...I did however lose 1.3kgs in that one week and get down to 66.1kgs.

Victory!

This week, after Melbourne, China Bar, Kebabs and all.. I managed to drop another 800grams and get down to 65.3kgs!

MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THAT!

I have now lost 5kgs exactly in 9 weeks.

I have lost of 7.1% my body weight.

I am not sure what has suddenly "kicked in" these past couple of weeks, but I am loving it and must continue to exercise (skipped a couple of days this week).

I know my journey to the aisle is not just about losing the kgs, it is also about getting smaller, toning up and in general looking my best on the big day, so I thought I'd show you something else..

This is me wearing my Bettina Liano high waisted jeans in Melbourne.

When I wore these jeans prior to starting 12WBT or in the first few weeks of the program, I would have red marks across my stomach and obliques from where they would cut in. I believe one day at work, I even undid them for a while, because they hurt me so much.

This is how the jeans fit as of last weekend.

It makes me proud seeing this.

I am getting Sarah back.

Why did I just start singing I'm bringing sexy back in my head?

bahaha.

Don't you think that watching your clothes fit better is so much more satisfying then what the scales say?

.....them other boys don't know how to act....

  1. Agree on the clothes fit thing, the scales don't bother me so much as knowing I like the way my clothes fit. Or catching glipses of ab muscle ;-)

  2. Oh that's exciting stuff! I think you are right and the major bonus of losing weight is that satisfaction of feeling more confident of how you look...not a number on the scales.

Go ahead, be gone with it... :P

  4. HAHAHAHA you're a crack up with that song =P

I agree with you, its all about how your clothes fit. Sometimes the scales dont change much becuase muscel weighs more than fat.

You are looking great!!! Congratulations and keep it up! =D

    1. Oh and something else my hubby explained to me once. Sometimes we you eat super healthy for ages and you have a 'cheat meal' your body is not used to the bad food and your motabolism works harder! So maybe thats the reason you dropped a bit more after all the Melbourne food =]

    2. Thanks Veronica and ohhh no, i'm going to try and forget that fact because otherwise I'll use it as an excuse everytime I want a cheat meal i.e. every weekend lol.
