Every little wedding detail?!

I remember my sister in law once telling me that for their wedding they splurged on some things and pulled back on others, like the things that they didn't care about as much. At the time I was newly engaged and I remember thinking "I am going to care about very single aspect of my wedding". Ohh I was naive.

Right now one of the things I don't care about much aka want to spend as little as possible on, is our wedding cars.

We need cars because our church and reception is a good 20,25mins away from each other, but let's face it very few people are going to see\remember\care about what car we arrive in.

With 10 in our bridal party in total, I figured one of the cheapest options might be one limo for all of us.

This is what I have been looking at.....

Chrysler 300CC Limousine - 11 Seater

So far I have managed to get some really good quotes and I think this is what we will end up with.

It begs the question though what did you not or don't you really give two hoots about when it comes to planning your wedding?

I have to admit, the cake is not that high on my agenda either.... Eep!!!

In another wedding related news, 3 of my bridesmaids have tried on the bridesmaid's dress now.

My MOH is a lot shorter than the other two and will need it taken up the most, but it looks great on all of them and they all love it - winning!!

  2. Your BM's look stunning!
There are so many things that you just don't need to spend money on, you'll realise that as you go along. We decided against having cars and it was definitely a smart idea, absolutely nobody saw us drive up anyway. A friend of mine, who is having an OTT wedding is having a horse-drawn carriage.. but nobody will actually see it haha.

    1. If our church and reception was close I wouldn't have cars, I am just having one for the practical side. I considered asking a family member or friend drive, but then that's slack on them and we would need multiple.

I once emailed A saying I wanted a horse drawn carriage just to see what he would say - he didn't fall for it lol.

  4. I would have loved the stretch limo too! We cared less about the invitations and decorations in terms of spend I think if I recall correctly.

  5. Your dresses look fantastic on all the girls. Love the car. Very versatile and a great idea. We splurged on the classic cars as that was one of FH wants, and I'm glad we did. I can't wait to ride in them and have photos taken in the rocks with them :)

  7. I didn't care about cars either. My hubby and GM's got there in a taxi! I got a driver for me and my bridesmaids for $150 by not saying it was for a wedding.

  11. I think a limo will be the smartest transportation option for everyone. It can bring multiple guests to and from the wedding venue all at once. About one thing though, it’s not completely true that no one will care about your wedding car. It’s actually the one thing which delivers most of the drama when you’re out of the church. It will only be forgotten easily if you allow it to be. ;] Best wishes!
