Let's talk numbers!

Okay I'm going to do it, I'm going to talk numbers and weight in a post on the world wide web. SCARY!!!

A trick we learnt in pole last term
"Look mum, no hands!"

First of all I should tell you that I'm 168cm to put things into perspective.

I'll start with my starting weight at the start of this round of 12WBT - 70.3kg (granted part of this was due to my over indulgence the week prior).

At the photo in this post I was around 62kg.

At our engagement party, I was pretty happy with how I looked and I was 64kg.

My goal for the first month of 12WBT was to get to 67kgs. I didn't care of it was 67.8 or 67.2 - that was my monthly goal.

In the first week I lost and weighed in at 69.1

Second week - lost another 900grams, weighed in at 68.2

Third week - gained 500grams - 68.7

And yesterday???? I lost 800grams and weighed in at 67.9!!!!!!! I only just made it in to the 67's but I don't care, I'm not getting caught up in semantics. I achieved my goal and I am proud.

I am starting to feel like myself again.

I have currently lost 2.4kgs and 3.4% of my body weight.

My two month goal is to be in the 65's.

The "Angel"

In addition to weigh in, at the monthly mark I also had to do my measurements. I don't think there is much point in revealing what each measurement is, but I will tell you the difference from when I started until now...

Hips - down 7cm
Waist - down 4cm
Arm - one down 4cm, the other 3cm
Legs - one down 5cm, the other 3cm

Again, I'm stoked!!

12WBT Brocolli Soup- YUmMMm!

I know this second month will be harder to keep dropping the weight. I have recently purchased a polar heart rate monitor and once I pick it up from the post office I'll be setting myself exercise goals to keep pushing the limits!

Anyone have any ideas for exercise goals??

  2. Ah the angel!! We call that 'upright showgirl' at my studio. We were doing it last night in a routine (I've been able to do it for about 6 months, so the pain is pretty much gone) BUT I had laser bikini treatment on Monday night and OMG was in a whole new world of pain.

Anyway...don't do that. But do things you love and that way the exercise won't feel like a chore. Incidental exercise is great too.

Also - just wanted to say, I think you look amazing. I'm in the process of gaining weight to look more like your body type haha!!

    xx

    1. Sophie are you serious??? I had barely any strength when I first started and my bestie could barely lift a thing... you build it by preactising moves - i've been doing it for 6months now. I think you should give it a go, you'd be surprised!!

Thanks sweety, same to you - I've been seeing your insta pics at the gym xx

You'd be amazed what you could probably do on a pole hahaha

  7. Well done! I'm 5'2 and 50kg, I just need to get toned by summer but I hate the gym, running, exercise etc. so we'll see how that goes.

    1. Thanks hun and good luck to you! If you're looking at tonin rather than losing weight, weights and strength work might be more ideal, along with pilates or something similar?

  11. Congrats! Your results are amazing!
I am trying to lose weight/tone up before my wedding too which is 9 months away. I've been working my ass off at the gym for the last 3 months(3 times/wk + 1/wk PT session) but haven't lost any kgs yet. However had my measurements done yesterday and apparently I've lost 2 kg of fat and gained 2 kgs of muscle (lost 4cm off my waist and 4 off hips, only 0.5 off arms).

    1. wow that is awesome! I record my weight, but personally I think the measurements mean more... have you altered your diet at all? That tends to make me lose more weight than all the exercise combined! Good luck babe xx

    2. Thank you :)
Yes, I am following plan that my PT recommended for me (1500 - 1700 cal, 100-120 g of protein, 200 g of carbs, 30 g of fat per day). It does seem to be like a lot of food and carbs but he told me that this formula is the best for muscle building/fat burning.
